How I Embraced New Year’s Eve
How are you? Obviously this post was meant to be published yesterday, but a long and blazing night had taken its toll on me. But I wanted to share with you my outfit for New Year’s Eve. Relating to my previous post about 3 looks (which you can read here) for New Year’s Eve, I took outset in wearing a festive jacket. I did this because I knew my friends (who I had dinner with) and I were going to a bar, and this kind of look would thus blend in better than a classic tuxedo look. The look consisted of black shoes, black trousers, crisp white dress shirt, a dark blue jacket, a pocket square (to make som flare) and the self-tie bow tie – obviously.
I think it worked out very well as it reflected the circumstances. It was not as formal as a new year’s outfit could be, but on the other hand it was very chic and breezy. Yet the blue jacket created a very rich and voluminous contrast with all of the black pieces. A contrast that creates a very elegant statement.
