Reveal of new collaboration: ERDEM x HM
H&M’s annual design collaboration is always something that is worth paying some attention to. The last couple of years has the Swedish clothing giant really managed to gather some real hard hitting demand. Probably peaking with the #HMxBalmain collection the previous year. However this year is a little different, as they are working with the London based designer ERDEM. Why is this different? Because this is actually the first time that ERDEM creates a male collection.
The ERDEM x HM collection is to reflect and reinterpret designs from previous collection, and experiment with prints and materials. All this combined with the professional expertise that distinguishes ERDEM’s designs.
To bring this entire collection to life has Baz Luhrman (director of Moulin Rouge & The Great Gatsby) been brought in. This has resulted in a wonderful teaser video which you can watch below. In this video you see several things worth holding on to. A PJ that I would totally wear myself, as well as a suit, which could indicate some sartorial elements in the collection. I’m looking forward to see the full ERDEM x HM collection!
The collection will hit the web and select stores at November 2nd.
